Bhutan has four major rivers systems flowing ouf of Himalayas that are fed by glaciers in northern Bhutan.They flow in the south and join Brahmaputra River in India.The glaciers are fed by snowfall during winter that melt slowly in summer.Glaciers are important source of fresh water for all the bhutanese citizen.During summer melting of glaciers along with heavy rainfall causes flooding too.

Its a combination of Mo Chhu which rises from Gasa near the border between Bhutan and Tibet and Pho Chhu whose origin is from Lunana.
This river rises in Tibet and flows southeasterly towards west-central Bhutan.It flows thorugh Haa,Paro and Thimphu.
This is the smallest river system and is known as the Amo Chhu towards north.
