Dochula Passes
Dochula pass is located on the way between Thimphu to Punakha and Wangduephodrang. It is one of the most significant passes in Bhutan. It is also a popular spot for the tourists due to its ideal location from where one can enjoy the beautiful scenario of Himalayan mountain range, especially on the clear days. The attraction of this place is further enhanced by Druk Wangyal Chortens (stupas) 108 built by her Majesty
the Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk to commemorate the expulsion of Assamese guerrillas.
Pele La Passes
Pele la pass is situated on an altitude of 3420m, and it is marked by a chorten and an array of prayer flags. On a clear day one can able to see
the mount Jhomolhari which is situated on an altitude of 7314m and Jichu Drakye 6989m. Pele La pass marks the western border of Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park which is formerly known as the Black Mountains and it acts as the gateway to central Bhutan.
Chele La Passes
Chele la pass is situated at an altitude of 3988m, which separates the Haa and Paro valley. It is one of the highest motor-able pass in Bhutan.
Drive to the pass is through dense spruce and larch forests along the beautiful mountain slopeOn a clear day one can see the spectacular views of
Mont Jomolhari, Jichu Drake and adjoining Peaks to the North West, and as well as splendid view of Paro and Haa valley.
Thrumshing La Passes
Thrumshing La is one of the second-highest mountain pass in Bhutan, it was situated between central and eastern regions which was separated between Bumthang and Lhuentse Dzongkhag. It forms the watershed between Raidāk and Manas River system. This passes attracts number of tourist because of its richness nature like beautiful landscapes, high mountain ranges, local villages and high wildlife sighting in Thrumshingla National Park. Driving through highway and trekking inside the national parks is unforgettable experience for the nature lovers.
Yotongla Pass
Yotongla Pass is one of the highest passes in Bhutan which situated on an altitude of 11,000ft. It is quite strange that from early April and May,
we cannot able to see the snow at this level. Most of the time, the pass is fully covered by mist on top of the hills. We usually hang prayer flags on top of the hills
